Boston Park Plaza Weddings and Events

One of our favorite venues to perform at is the Boston Park Plaza.  With its spacious ballrooms and recent renovations, this venue is quite popular with many of our BSL clients.  If you pick up their new client brochure, you will notice BSL and our sister company, Mint To Be Events are preferred vendors.

Purple Champagne

Margi and Ojas had seen BSL at quite a few weddings.  What made this couple unique was that in having attended so many weddings, they knew exactly what they wanted (popcorn at the ceremony, dry ice for there first dance, live video feed, pinspot lights on each centerpiece, purple uplighting and dot patterns to make you feel like you were in a purple champagne glass....and fortunately us at both their DJs and planners through Mint To Be events. Recently this wedding was featured in the Winter 2017 issue of The Knot Magazine.

Seeta and Vivek

Seeta and Vivek and their respective families are from two different parts of India.  Seeta, our beautiful bride is from the state of Gujrat.  Vivek, our sharp handsome groom is from the state of Karnataka.   While one may not consider this Indian-Indian wedding a fusion, the traditions between the two cultures are drastically different.  This was a two day wedding, where the sangeet garba was held at the New England Aquarium, which featured our white LED starlit dancefloor, uplighting, and awesome entertainment.   The wedding day, which started off with us closing down a Boston street for the baraat, ceremony and reception was held at the Boston Park Plaza.  The reception featured an 8 microphone live band support for the bride and groom (along with their friends) who surprised each other by reciting their speech in songs.  We suspended our 12ft projection screen from the balcony, which hung right about our truss style DJ facade.  We had dot patterns on the ceiling, as well an amazing dancing in the clouds.  Check out the trailer above and the picture below from our friends at Fern & Feather.  Of course the event looked fabulous, as our sister company, Mint To Be Events planned the entire wedding from start to finish.  You can read the full blog here.

Turn Down For What?

Check out this beautiful two day Punjabi wedding of Jason and Natasha at the Boston Park Plaza.  The highlight film crafted by Binita Patel Cinematography captures the vibrancy of the sangeet, where we played the Jaago and conducted the Boliyaan, as well as kept up with all the dance performances and dancing.

This wedding featured custom pattern work isolated to the pillars of the grand ballroom and custom gobo on our white dance floor.

The DJ booth was setup on the stage, and we ran 6 speakers across the ballroom to level the sounds appropriately.

Check out the transformation from the ceremony to the reception, we bet you will love it.

TURN DOWN FOR WHAT?

Sold On Soundcloud

Shefali and Dinesh got engaged in California.  When Shefali first met us, she admitted that she had downloaded all of our mixes on Soundcloud and even played them at her engagement party, and it was set in her mind that she would hire BSL for her two day wedding in Boston.  On the day of the sangeet, BSL had one team hosting Imran Khan at Boston University, but DJ Yogz and DJ D-Xtreme personally ROCKED the sangeet for this amazing couple, playing the shoe game and their crazy dance set.  The second day featured a baraat through the lobby, the ceremony had a non-traditional look, and the reception featured gold uplighting, a custom gobo and a packed dance floor.
